Duke Psychiatrist Named as an AACAP Distinguished Fellow

Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Amaya-Jackson, MD, MPH!

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) honored Dr. Amaya-Jackson as an AACAP Distinguished Fellow. The award was presented at AACAP's 63rd Annual Meeting October 24th-29th in New York City.

Dr. Amaya-Jackson is a leader in research, treatment, and training in the areas of psychological trauma and exposure to violence in children and adolescents. She spearheads Duke's child trauma programs as Director of Training at the Center for Child and Family Health, Co-Director of the NC Child Treatment Program, and Associate Director of the UCLA-Duke University National Center for Child Traumatic Stress.
